Because I was tired and my legs were a tiny bit sore (another nice surprise, my legs feel good today!!) I moved into lane 7 for my swim as I knew I would be burnt in the first 15 minutes if I swam in lane 8 with the super fast guys. Anyway, the boys in lane 7...WAY more fun than those in lane 8!! Although I was told I was "disrupting the natural balance". We did some warm-up and the main set was 4x200, alternate pull-buoy high/low. Thank God. Cause my legs were a bit spent from yesterday! Then 3x300 descending to race pace for each 300 with 30 seconds rest in between. GP told me I had great feet...I would hope he should notice as he was ON THEM the entire set!! But that was okay with me, I think we held about 1:40s the entire time and was a nice, steady workout for me. I tried to do a 2 beat kick for the whole time, good practice for a longer swim. And our regular coach was away today and Thomas was there helping out. I had never met Thomas before but he gave me some super tips and a great explanation on my breathing. Some positive feedback!! Yey! And he was so eager and supportive and paid attention to the pacing for those 300s and complimented the lane when we did what was asked. Just a different style and I really liked it.
One more thing...thanks so much for your comments on my Hypo Half yesterday!! The support is really appreciated!! Thanks for paying attention. I have had to chuckle as my 5 year old will not take my medal off that we got yesterday! He even slept with it last night...Funny!

Great swim after a great race. Sounds like you raced your plan, which should get good comments from your coach. And being able to get in a good swim after is an excellent sign. Doing good!
