Fun at the pool

Went to my Wednesday am swim today. What a beautiful morning...spring is around the corner and I love that time of year. Things are new and fresh and we made it through another cruel, cold, Saskatchewan winter!! Yey! Had a great swim today. We did a "perimeter swim" which was kind of fun. We all swam together around the edges of the pool for 4 laps. I learned today that if I take the inside line, I am pretty fast...ha ha!! Something a bit different and was fun. I was also asked to be on a team for the Great White Northern triathlon!! I was totally flattered, actually. The gal who asked is a very good cyclist and the runner came in SECOND this past Saturday at the Hypo Half. Second out of everyone...boys and girls!! But, alas, I had to decline. Then I was thinking about it, maybe I should do a team? That would be fun as we could probably do really well? I would be done after the swim...off to have breakfast, sit around and wait for everyone, see everyone finish....Then I came back to earth and thought..NO WAY!! I have set my sights on this and I am doing it! Whew...that was close!

Susi tried recruiting me as the swim leg of a team once. It never came together, but that was almost exactly my thought process. Get my part done first and over with, cheer on everybody else as they do the hard stuff.
