words...words...words

Words are interesting aren't they? Especially when you have kids and they are learning to talk and learning what words to use and when. My 2 year old calls his favorite stuffed cat "Titty". And we have all adopted that word for the cat's official name. My 5 year old says to me last night that he cannot sit down in the tub for his bath because his "bum is really tired". And then there was someone who was deliberately deceiptful, in recent months, obvious to me now pretending one thing and acting another who called their own actions "inconsistent." This one also made me laugh. They spell it "inconsistent", I spell it "asshole".
I get to swimming today and on the board for the main set is "Strongman 1500 meters". Whoopie!! I thought, timed 1500 meter swim! I like these kinds of things! So I swam the warm up thinking, strategizing, planning how I was going to keep up with the boys up in the top lane. But when we got down to it, it was THIS:
2 x 50 tombstone kick (take a kick board and hold it up in the water so half is out of the water and half under the water...now kick your sorry legs that did that wicked bike workout yesterday...)
4 x 25 meters (#1: dive fly #2: full stroke fly #3: head up free #4: sprint)
one minute plank (yeah...friggin PLANK on the pool deck for one minute!)
4 x 25 meters (same as above)
one minute wall sit (again with those tired legs, squat against the wall for 1 minute)
Do that ALL AGAIN 5 times...
ooooOOOOoooo fun times at the pool today!!

WOW, I just pulled a muscle reading about that workout.

Now that is what I call a Pain Train workout!

There had better be a bucket on the pool deck. That's all I can say.
