early bird

My alarm did not go off today. And i was meeting a buddy for a run. I woke up, did the stare at the ceiling, thinking "what day is it? do I have to work today?" Turned over and looked at the clock...HOLY SHIT!!! Shot out of bed like I had a firecracker up my butt. Threw the gear on and raced to the Roastery....was on time but holy smokes close call! I pulled up as another guy was pulling up and we both got out of our cars at the same time, he says "Do you want to warm-up for a bit?" And I say "Sure! Let me in." Thinking he meant to come sit in his car for a second...but he actually meant RUN to warm up....oops!
But had a pretty good run. Was not my best effort and not my worst. My legs were still tired and we got left in the dust in about 45 seconds with the gang that shows up on Saturday mornings. Oh well. At least I am out there slugging it out!!
And my push-up update: I miss read the instructions so have not been doing the program really correctly this week...I know...big duh...but got on track today and my max was 10!! Only 90 to go.
