my back is killing me

Those damn planks yesterday at the pool have done a number on my body!! My back and abs are so sore...partly because of the work and partly because I was holding things in so tight as I was afraid I was going to fart....in a wet bathing suit....how uncool would that have been?
Today is a rest day. But I did not sleep last night as my back was killing me all night. Yak. On the go for the next few days trying to find my outfit for a few Christmas parties this season. I have been invited to one and the dress code is "Vintage". Our work party's theme is 1940's Hollywood Glamour. How fun is THIS going to be!! Value Village...here I come!!
Up tomorrow is another hard bike ride. I am cursing the day I told Coach Justin I wanted to get better on that bike...but can't wait for my next run as my dear tri-buddy Shannon brought me back a Carmichael Training Systems jacket direct from Tuscon!! I can run in style now. Do you think I will look like too much of a poser, wearing something like that? I mean it is super cool and super bright and the yellow totally matches my yellow cervelo...I just don't want to be the one wearing expensive workout gear that gets passed....if you know what I mean...so I think the jacket says "I am gettin buff so I can kick your a$$!!!" hahahahahaha!!!!

What a killer swim workout -- can't imagine trying to do the plank AND hold in a toot at the same time. Hee-hee!

And you are not a poser -- I think it's great that you are getting some studly duds. :) :) :)

I have been reading about so many "close-calls" from all our Tri-Blogger buddies lately. Who is going to be the first to let'er rip in front of a crowd?!?

If you've got the duds, it helps build confidence and your mental preparation. There's always going to be someone who passes you, no matter who you are, or what you're wearing. So you might as well look good, feel good.
