did y'all see it...?

A pro triathlete commented on my blog! Hoop Dee Do!!
Why? You are most likely asking yourself...cause I commented on hers.
Here is the story:
Before my trip out to cheer in Penticton in August, I was reading up on some of the people that were going to be there ie. the pros. I came across a gal, her name, Bree Wee. Her name just intrigued me!! It just sounded so fresh and cool and I read she was from Hawaii...Kona to be exact. So I started following her blog well before Penticton and she had her heart set on qualifying for Kona as a professional....as a professional...I know you are all aware of how freaky fast these people are!!! But it was not to be in Penticton (nor had it been in Japan). She had a horrible day in Penticton. And she missed it in Kentucky. By mere minutes, gang, MINUTES in an Ironman!! Her blog is pretty honest and she has had some super downer weeks but would pick herself up and soldier on.
It all came together for her in Florida just a few weeks ago...she got her spot in Kona for 2009!
The lesson: Without being too "cliche" sometimes we look at those that look like they have it so easy, and when we dig into their lives a little bit more, it hasn't been all that easy...they have had to fall on their face a few times, pick themselves up and move on.
