My 5 year old fell down the stairs today. From the very top to the very bottom.
After telling him about 100 thousand times NOT to play on the stairs. He got the wind knocked out of him and I cannot believe that boy did not break something. He was terrified, I was terrified, we did not have a good morning. They say the trick is not to panic...people have told me I tend to stay calm in a crisis...the go to person when things are crazy...little do they know, it is all an act, but when it is your child, this was very different. He is banged up pretty bad, a nasty scrape all the way down his back (we have no carpets in our house) and I am sure he will be black and blue. Needless to say, I was WAY late today for my Monday morning meeting...but what the hell...somethings are just a little more important than money.

We'll find how how many guys ready your blog, because they are all, every single one of them, me included, are going to say variants of "that's nothing, when I was a kid...."
Mine was falling out of a tree, and bouncing off several branches on the way down.
Thanks Keith....I called my husband on the way to work nearly in tears and he says while laughing: "He's a boy. This is what boys do. Maybe he won't play on the stairs again..."
God help me with these two boys!!!!
Oh dear...I am showing my tomboy side...I thought the same as your hubby - "Well I guess he's learned now why not to play on the stairs!"
Of course the girlie side of me hopes that he's doing ok and that he's not too bruised up!
Hugs.
