happy anniversary: part deux

To us.
Yeah...been married 9 years today! Or as Shaun explained it to our children "Mom and Dad have been married a really long time..." Then Matthew asks "How long?" Shaun says "Nine years." Matthew: "Holy Dad!! That IS a long time!!"
This must be some sort of record. But here is my coundown for the past nine years:
9 years
8 is Luke's favorite number: everytime you ask him how many there are, could be 5, 7, 9 or 22 he says "EIGHT!!!" and grins.
7 days were were in Hawaii when we eloped 9 years ago.
6 days of sunshine in Hawaii, when we were there.
5 or more like $500 is the money we paid to rent the Ferrari for the day.
4 is the number of years were were married before having kids. Sigh. Them were the days.
3 is the number of times we have had our bags packed. Not gonna lie, the pressure of owning a small business, having kids, 2 bear markets, and freaky relatives, has taken its toll some times.
2 is for the number of beautiful children we have managed to create and love and raise together.
And last but not least, 1...one guy on the entire earth that has managed to put up with my moods, my quirky ways, my over the top mother, and my big big dreams!

You realize of course, that hubby is in an impossible spot. If he says 9 years seemed like a long time, then it's off to the doghouse. If he says it seemed like a short time, it's like he isn't paying attention, and it's off to the doghouse. Most hubby's are not quick-witted enough to say it's been the best 9 years of his life, and he's looking forward to the next nine, and the nine after that, ect, ect ect.

But congrats on making it this far! I can't even imagine the stress of having to watch these volatile markets on an minute to minute basis, and the effect it must have on family life.

PS. Nine years is still practically newlyweds. It only gets better, unless it gets worse.
