Sometimes all they want is Mom

Heading home from work yesterday I was having the feeling I was going to have to choose between my bike workout last night or my run this morning. I am really wishing I had of got a good sleep on Sunday night as no sleep and then that 90 minute run Monday am has really wiped me out for the rest of the week. But when I got home, the decsion was made for me. My little one (22mos) was cranky and clingy and only Mom could do anything for him. After supper he came and sat on my lap and we read books and played games and fooled around for the majority of the evening. And by the way, running around the house with a giggling little boy on your back should count for something!! My friggin quads are stiff today!! He would not leave me alone....not complaining one bit but literally nothing got done last night!! I was baking the silly shamrock cookies well after they had gone to bed. But I did get up for my run today. Holy smokes, my legs were tired!! Struggled through it and got the hour in. Up next is a walk tomorrow and another brick on Saturday and swim on Sunday.

Think of the alternative. What if he didn't need his mom? I second Julie's thought.
