Something is happening to me...

The trusty alarm went off today at 5:15am. And I popped out of bed to jump onto my bike...yes, you read that correctly, I was actually excited to get to my bike workout!! What the H...!! I popped a movie in and did an hour on the bike. But now I know, I cannot watch a movie when I have a specific workout to do, maybe an endurance ride but today I would slow my pedalling and my heart rate would go way down when there were parts that I was trying to listen to in the movie and not really concentrating on the task. The workout was 4 sets of 6 minutes of the Muscle Tension drill with 4 minutes in between. And then 3 sets of fast pedalling, for 2 minutes and then easy for 2 minutes. Was a good workout, sweat like a rockstar! But getting more confident on that bike...seriously, a few weeks ago, an hour workout on the bike was a bit overwhelming. Now, it just feels good to get it done!
Off to see Michael Buble tonight. I really like his stuff and I am looking forward to the concert. The last concert I went to was in October, Def Leppard, that's right my loyal readers...I am and 80s gal through and through!! I LOVE those old 80s bands!! But I don't think I will wear my earplugs to Buble.

I haven't tried the trick of watching a movie while doing a spin workout. Not sure what my wife would think about bringing the bike into the media room and spraying rubber all over. Maybe move this computer to the basement when I get a new one next year. But it's interesting how the workouts become addictive. I'm looking forward to them, even the runs, and I notice when I miss them for some reason.
