annoyed
Did not feel all that great this morning but got up and got to the pool anyway. The workout wasn't too bad, what I did of it. I am starting to get annoyed with our swim coach as he is on my case about something pretty much every single workout. I don't hear him doing that to anyone else. Last week it was that I wasn't giving the leader enough time...but I guess it is alright for everyone else behind me to swim up my butt? This week, I wasn't swimming even enough wrt pace times. I was TIRED today!! And SICK!! I told him this!! Get off my back!! Even one of the guys in my lane asked me why is he so hard on you...and I have no idea. I even left a bit early today as I was pissed off and went and sat (and pouted) in the hot tub...then I got kicked out of the hot tub as I was not part of the "public swim". But the good news...........157. WHOOP!!!

I too got a lot more coaching today than I normally get. I think it was because there was less people in the pool. No late night snacks this week but too much wine/martinis last night...192. Good on you!!
Glad to hear some people are getting "coaching", but not me. Brad never has anything positive to say to me, it is always negative. And always in front of the entire lane and that just pisses me off...
hey hang in there ..... cute new pics of the kids ....great run this weekend - speedy gal!!
I have to wonder a bit about this swim coach. Doesn't he know that a coach can't provide a constant negative diet? Coaches need to tell people when they're doing something right, or have improved, or have made at least part of a requested change. And really, the message shouldn't be "you're doing this wrong", but rather, "try make these changes to improve".
In one sense, it's ok to provide feedback to one person while they're part of a group, because others can probably learn from that. A tail kicking once in a while can be motivational. But if there's a negative message, it should be delivered privately.
Sounds like this guy is old school use and abuse. You want my advice? Lose him. There's lots of coaches out there.
