i almost FORGOT!!!!!

I was looking at my calendar last night, the big one on my fridge with all the activities for everyone, I turn to May and lo and behold, I have a 10km run this weekend!!
I almost forgot. What do I expect from a 10km run...with all the running I have been doing...I don't really know! My Holy-Shit-I-Did-Not-Ever-Think-THAT-Was-Possible-Goal would be around 50 minutes. And you are thinking, but your best 5km time so far is 25 minutes...this does not make sense!! And I say, well, I seriously feel like I am just warmed up at the 4.5km mark at those little timed events and would love to run that hard for longer. I would be thrilled with 52-53 minutes, my personal best is around 53 minutes and that was at the 10km mark last year at the Regina Half Marathon...not sure if that counts but it WAS a surprise!! Those are the only two I will be happy with.
Got out today for a run. Was a gorgeous morning. I am having to re think my outfits, because I was darn warm today. Can't seem to adjust to this weather very quickly. Was a pretty solid run...4 times 8 minutes at my half marathon goal pace...that pace is becoming engrained in my brain for good. I am still not confident I can hold that for the entire 21 kms. Because I was spent after today. But I have not used my legs for 3 days so was good to be out there. Wanted to make the run totally worthwhile so I spat a big loogie on the lawn of a friend's ex!! Hahaahhahahaaaa!!!!
