This is my finishing photo from the weekend. Look closely..because the boys were running me into the finish line...the small crowd that was there started to cheer us in...Luke got stagefright and embarrassed and was trying to hide...
And the best part of all, Matthew says "Mom...can you do that again? Because I want to do it with you this time!!"
Also, that will be 6 races I have done between tris and this duathlon where there is NO photo of me on my bike...it's a mystery as to why I never get photographed while on my bike...
And this is the poor gal that had to hurdle my 2 year old!!! (don't know why the pic is small...but I am probably breaking some sort of copyright law by posting these...)

Congrats on getting the finishing photo though. That is mysterious about the biking ones. You can have some of mine..... :)
good race Kelly!! as for a bike photo it is hard to believe the camera was even working due to the glare off of cory's legs.

And I never got a finishing photos at IMC or the one where you pose with the medal so I feel really pissed :)
I think sometimes the focus on photos is driven by where you are - it is not like they are in one place taking pictures of everyone. They follow the lead guys on the run and then on the bike ... as a middle packer, i too, get left out :) I can take some of you on a bike someday and they will be WAY better!!!
It has struck me that a good amateur photographer could probably cover his or her costs by going to some of these races, and aiming to get good photos of the mid-packers, and depending on layout, even the back of the packers. Some of us would like a nice photo for inspiration. As long as you're looking good, nobody has to know that you were only going 15 Kph into the wind as it was taken.
