Us.
Last night was just one of those nights at the Bannister/Dahlen household. We did not make it to skating. The little boys were having their supper, Shaun was in the shower and I was getting a glass of milk in the kitchen. After telling them one million times NOT to fool around at the table, we sit at the table during meals, we do not stand in our chairs, or wiggle around, the dinner table is for eating....Matthew stands in his chair to reach for something, slips and hits his face on the corner of the table.
I hear the thud. Then he starts screaming. I turn around and there is blood...everywhere. His mouth is full of blood, his hands are full of blood, his jeans and shirt are covered in blood. Keep in mind that all of this happened in about 26 seconds. I frantically try to find a towel or a cloth I can take to him. Meanwhile, thinking, he is screaming/crying so he is breathing so that's a good sign...right? Shaun is in the shower, hears the screaming and comes barrelling out of the bathroom...naked...suds in his hair, on his body, and privates...runs across the living room, slips and falls on the hard wood...I am standing in the kitchen, dumstruck, Matthew is still screaming...I can't stop giggling. OMG what a night. Matthew has a huge fat lip, a pretty bad cut and he is going to lose one of his front teeth. We get him cleaned up, the poor kid was traumatized...I mean really...to see your dad bite it, naked, on the floor and then cussing like a trucker, and then me who can't stop laughing at the sight...because I was freaking out and I giggle when I am super nervous or scared...and it (the fall) WAS funny...
I tried to get a picture of his mouth and face last night, cause we seem to be posting gross bodily photos...but he would have nothing of it!!!
And my April goal was to not have any sweets for the month. Or TRY to not have any sweets. I made it 18 hours into April. I told Matthew I would go down to the corner store for a treat to try to make him feel better. I was so stressed out by the whole thing, I bought the biggest chocolate bar they sold and ate the entire thing all by myself. So starting TODAY April 2nd...try not to have any sweets/chocolate/candy. No problem.

Reading Jenna's blog, then yours. I am reminded of a particular condom commercial that went viral on the internet.
