Sleep, workout, get family ready for the day, get to work, get hassled by clients, go home, get ready for kid's activities, come back home, eat somewhere in there, bathtime, playtime, bedtime. So predictable it is CRAZY!!! How I long for the days when I just did whatever the heck I felt like and had NO responsibilities....take off on my motorcycle for weeks at a time (before cell phones and drove my mother insane!) take off on an adventure somewhere...like the time my girlfriend and i just flew to SanFran on a total whim..no place to stay, did not know anyone, so went to a bar (with our luggage!!) partied ALL night and found lodging the next morning...jeepers.
Sometime between then and now, I grew up!! Sigh.
On THAT note....got my swim in yesterday morning. Not much of a swim. But lots of stroke advice...which is great but I kinda wanted to just swim. When I get tired or I am daydreaming, I tend to shorten my stroke quite a bit. Swim coach Mike said to stop daydreaming!! He actually SAID that!! To think about what I am doing!! I really like swim coach Mike but I felt like I was 12 again....
Both boys are registered for soccer. Luke is so very excited. He tends to get dragged around to Matthew's activties and now he gets to do his own thing. Grandma bought them Webkins. I don't know what to think about Webkins. They are stuffed toys that come with a code that you plunk into the website and you care for the Webkin online. You play games and earn points to buy stuff for your Webkin...I think the whole thing is kind of goofy, and I certainly DO NOT want them spending too much time on the computer...but apparently all the kids have these things and Matthew asked my mom why he does not have one so of course Grandma went out the very next day and got him one....niiiiice. These are kids that do not watch tv, they do play video games but very, very limited, they would rather be outside. We walked down to the school the other night to play on the playground and I had to physically extract them both when it was time to go!! Was a complete gong show...so me thinks the webkin will not do well in our house!!

You are such an awesome Mom -- Just think how many parents would love to have the problem of trying to get their kids INDOORS! Hahahahahaha!!!
You are lucky to have a swim coach who knows when you are not pushing yourself! :) :)
Hmmmm. Here's a thought experiment for you. Or even an actual experiment, if you like.
Tell hubby he has the kids for a long weekend. Go somewhere. Find that inner ungrownup, and let her out for a while.
I can just about guarantee the results will be very interesting.
I agree with keith....get the hubby to MAN up and go for a wild and crazy (to a safe degree) girls wkd....would be interesting to see how quickly you are missing your boring life.....
