friday...friday

Did you know that in astrology, Friday is connected with the planet Venus. This associates Friday with love, peace, and relaxation.
Or in laymen terms BRING ON THE WEEKEND!!!!!!
Big day tomorrow. Simon Lessing is in town. I am trying to go over in my head what I need to take with me...it dawned on me that I have to swim, bike AND run on the same day...oh my gosh, the gear I have to think about!! And of course, can't forget my charming smile...hahahaha!!!
This? Is what I struggle with. Matthew had his latest stripe test on Wednesday at TKD, he passed and now has been invited to his next belt test...on Saturday...THIS Saturday. The very same day I am at my tri-clinic. The thing is, I don't feel bad that I am going to miss his belt test but I do feel bad that I don't feel bad...why is this? Its confusing. I e-mailed a buddy yesterday with my concerns and she and I have the same philosophy about parenting...when mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy...and she sends a message back...remember the labor pains and my decision to do something for myself and not feel bad about it is a no-brainer! Ha Ha!!
I did my bike workout today like a good little wanna be triathlete. It was a tough one...a bunch of intervals and I did a few extras because I was up WAY early and had the time and was feeling good...I had put some new tunes on the iPod and was bouncing along to them all morning. Gary Garmin went dead about 10 minutes into the ride so I had to hunt for my trusted old Timex and add the times in my head for the remainder of the workout. Working, sweating AND thinking is almost too much for me at 5:30 in the am....

Have fun at the clinic.

Sometimes it's important to be there for your kids, to watch as they achieve. Sometimes, it's important to let them achieve on their own, and tell you about it after. Then you can achieve something for you, and tell them.

Well said, Keith. A good friend of mine uses this saying on me when my brain starts to go in circles. "Don't over-think it." It can be applied in any number of cases too! :) :)

Congrats to your kidlet for his accomplishment! :):)

Have a great time at the clinic this weekend!!!
