I swear, spring is on its way. I know this because the DQ on 8th Street has opened for the season! It's this little DQ drive up that is on a prime piece of real estate on a main drag here in Toon Town, the owner is about 85 years old, has refused to give in to any offers to buy the land. She even works at the counter serving up ice cream all summer.
On a spring note, I have taken today and tomorrow off work to get some personal stuff done. Not like I don't get alot of personal stuff done WHILE at work (shhhhh!!), but it is hard to paint the kitchen, clean out my closets, organize our shit, put stuff on Kijiji while I am in my office downtown. I am half done painting the kitchen...believe me, this is a job well overdue! I guess I could have hired someone but isn't there something about tackling a job like that on your own? A sense of accomplishment and power when I am replacing the track lighting by myself? My dad was a handy guy and taught me lots of this stuff...it is easy and I don't mind it when I have the time...I replaced all the bedroom light fixtures last weekend. I found some on Kijiji and they look great and update the rooms just a bit for cheap. Hoop Dee Do!!
On a training note...swam yesterday. Was a really good swim. 7x 200meters decrease the time, increase the HR. Got down to 2:50...was long course too!! Up next is a hard run tomorrow and ANOTHER 90 minute bike ride on Saturday!!! That would be TWO in one week, in case anyone was counting other than me.
