wednesday morning swim

Up and at it early today. Started swimming with the UofS Masters Swim Team today. Needed a change of scenery. The pool is salt water and way better showers...all was good. A couple of super fast gals today!! Holy Cow! Had to bust it to keep up. And they do tumble turns so I no longer have a secret weapon with this group!! Legs were tired from last night's ride but was good to do a few different things in the water. And got some major time with the coach who gave me lots of tips on my stroke, something I never get with the tri group. That word that annoys me so much kept coming up...core...she said she thinks I need a stronger core as I drop my hip and elbow at the start of my stroke. I should be engaging my core better to swing my hips around. Well, if the truth be known, I am not very good at doing my core workouts...there, it is out of the bag!! May 1 tomorrow and my goal for the next 2 weeks is to consisently do my core workouts...blah

You know, it's sort of depressing to learn that even people that swim as fast as you do still have things they can tweak with their stroke.
