Was listening to my Bon Jovi this morning. Started the run from the Roastery as I thought a nice treat at the end of what I could tell was going to be a difficult run would be great. A little bit of snow and ice isn't going to keep this prairie girl down! The trails were in great shape, amazingly. A few tricky spots but got about 52 minutes in. Was supposed to do a way more intense run with some hard intervals but I tossed that out in favour of a steady run through the new snow. And I won "Athlete of the Day" at coffee this morning as nobody else wanted to brave the elements. I heard my Dad say at that moment "To succeed at what you want, you have to be out there when nobody else is out there and get it done." Hopefully, he was right!!
Our lives are inspired by the dreams we have from the earliest stages of our youth. When you combine passion and hard work, then success is always possible. While no road is every straight, dedication and persistence will always lead you to your dreams.

This morning while drying dishes, I noticed a runner churning along through the 4 to 6 inches of snow we got. While it was still snowing. Before anyone shovelled their sidewalk. I shouted out the door "Good for you for getting your run done today! She smiled and waved. I hope I made her day.
I could say the same for you! And for Jenna too!
Rest day for me, haha!
Rest day for me too! LOL! But I better not laugh too loud -- my long run is tomorrow. Great job at battling the elements! :) :)
Nice work Kel!
