I headed out today for my run fully intending to do the workout that Justin had put together. I got going and around the 3km mark I was feeling like I was running on a cloud. Super smooth, and strong and just an all around good run. Love it when one of those comes up now and again! So I thought to myself, I wonder how fast I can comfortably run a 10km today?? Why not? The weather was perfect, I felt good...let's go!!

HOLY SHIT!! Gang, this is very good for me!! For a run that felt good and smooth and my average HR was right in my steady state range so I wasn't pushing too hard. I tried to get a picture of Garmin so you could see I am not lying... Last year at the 10km race in May, I think I did it in around 54 mins and I thought my chest was going to explode. Tally HO!!
And thank-you Julie for your kind words...I just need to know I am not going to embarrass myself completely on July 6!! I often say that I really am doing this training in pure terror of what is to come on that day!!

Super!! It's always easier when everything flows. You know you're in the groove when it's easier to keep going than to stop.
Remember how it felt, and do it again on race day!
