2000 meters in the pool

Was very late for swimming today. Boo on me!! I had cleaned my oven a day or so ago and I guess the clock did not reset properly as that was the one I was watching and ended up being late for Sunday swim!! Missed the warm-up, jumped in on the main set and felt it in my arms and shoulders pretty much immediately. Ended up only doing 2000 meters as my new/old friend Tammy and I ended up chatting at the end of the pool for the last 15 minutes...this will have to stop!! Her kids and my kids are exactly the same age and she is lots of fun and we have the same ideas on lots of stuff and truly, it is nice to have a gal up in the top lane with me!! Although I will have to get a bit more focused than I have been at the pool....or maybe not...!!
Checked my training plan out for the next few weeks as Justin and I had a good long talk this past week about what I wanted to do. Let's just say things have ramped up considerably from last year!! Two swims, two bike rides and two runs per week....only one day off. I am super excited to get started on something structured again. Going to be a good year.
