Saturday am bike ride...done...before 8:00am!!!

My dear spouse came home yesterday and informed me he had to meet a customer this morning shortly after 8:00am. And that he would be working all day today. I love it when he throws curve balls at me...can you pick up the sarcasm? Anyway, what does this mean? It means I am up and out the door today at 5:00am because I had a 2.5 hour bike ride to do. And HOLY SHITE was it cold!! Minus 3 when I started out!! I even took Justin's advice and put plastic bags on my feet in between my sock layers. Dorky, but I love my toes and want to keep them. All and all Garmin tells me I did 2 hours...I thought it was a bit longer as it felt a bit longer but interestingly it was easier than last week!! At one point, I looked at my watch and lo and behold it was 1 hour 40 minutes!! That made me very happy!! According to my heart rate data, overall I wasn't working all that hard, so one more step forward. Yippee!! And we did hill repeats...loads of fun I had today!!
Tomorrow I have a 1:40 minute run to do. Going to skip my swim and get up and get it done in good time. Next week is my 3.5 hour bike ride. Long weekend next weekend. I have booked Friday off so I can do my bike ride and run around town like a fool and get ready for the lake and then when I get to the lake....I am doing NOTHING!!

Holy crap!! -3!! And I was semi-grumpy about 10 C or so. I'll shut up and go away now.

Seriously, great ride, and you get extra points for starting so early.
