packed and ready to go

I went out over the weekend and purchased the munchkins their own suitcases. Matthew insisted on the one with the Canadian Maple Leaf on the front (he is very into being Canadian...claims he WILL play for Team Canada some day...and I of course, do not have the heart to tell him that he is a grain of sand in a sand box when it comes to hockey players in this country...but dream big, son, dream BIG!! You just never know where your dreams will take you...)
Luke insisted on the Transformers version.
And then they packed those suitcases. With toys and cards and games and puzzles and magic stuff and more toys and socks. Socks are very important when you are a kid. I asked them if they are going to leave room for clothes and they hadn't thought about it...damn they are cute!! So we are ready for Boston!
In training news...i mentioned I swam on Sunday. There is drama at the pool...again...a fellow there is apparently annoying some of the swimmers in a lane that is not mine. One of the executive e-mailed me and wants to call a meeting to discuss...really? A meeting to discuss an annoying triathlete? I'm just saying...aren't we all a bit weird? I don't even know what happened as apparently that is a secret so I declined the meeting...not into trying to control others behaviour...we ALL swim with annoying people...don't we? And we don't call meetings over it...jeepers.
Today was a bike ride.
Yes...A BIKE RIDE!!! 45 whole minutes of spinning my legs on a bike. I have NINE hours on my schedule this week....if I am honest, I have been a little slack in my total hours over the past few weeks...I get the important stuff in but the recovery rides...meh. The core work...meh. But I am feelin the heat of that run in April...really feelin it....so going to cram for it this month!! Ha Ha!!

Isn't the race, like, a month away? When are you leaving? I guess if all those toys are packed in a suitcase, they aren't on the stairs for you to trip over.

I think they are just as excited about the trip as you are!!
