Wednesday.
It is snowing here and I am tired and kind of grumpy. I went swimming today and it was a very lazy swim. I don't think my heart rate was over 100 the entire time. The chlorine in that pool really gets to me.
But focusing on the POSITIVES:
1. Got a really encouraging and super e-mail from Coach Justin after he had a chance to analyse my long Saturday run. Says I did it exactly perfect...so thanks again to Chuck for reeling me in now and again that day!! However, I have to get on my nutrition as I did not take enough calories in...he says about 500 I had 100....a bit of a difference there...
2. I have new shoes. They are clean and hopefully fast...Fast for me, anyway!! I strayed from my Sauconys that I love love love and have only ever worn. The local shoe store did not have my size...they NEVER have my size...I wear a 9.5 shoe...is this rare?...so I may go to the Running Room and see what they have just to make sure. I would hate for shitty runners to ruin my day next m0nth.
3. Last hockey game tonight. Matthew is sad. He LOVES to play hockey!! We have had a blast this year with the team. The parents, kids, coaches, everyone has been amazing. We have booked him for a camp over the summer, so we will be at the rink a bit in shorts.
4. Hotel is booked in Boston. We are approximately one mile from Foxborough Stadium. Who trains at Foxborough Stadium? Why, Tom Brady of course!!! My second husband...I will be stalking him.
5. Have also booked some time at F1 Boston. Race Cars BABY!!! The trip shouldn't all be about me(?)...so for Shaun I will sit with the kids while he feels like a stud racing around a track at some crazy fast speed.
6. Luke got his first belt at TKD last Friday. It was so cute...the instructor was putting the belt around his waist and Luke looks at him and says "It's about TIME I got a belt!!!"
7. That's it. My life is kind of boring but fun at the same time. That likely does not make sense but its true!! We are having alot of fun and the boys are crazy fun every single day and make things interesting.
Next up is a hard, hard fast run tomorrow. Then on Saturday 3 hours...the instructions are to "pick up the pace for the last hour...no chatting...see how your legs like to run *fast* when they are tired..."
GULP!!

I think only one thing shoud happen on hump day....yes you know what that is!!!
You are welcome Kelly...it is fun to change up who you run with!
Not sure what your Garmin showed but we topped out at a 5:10 pace with most of the first 5k we ran together 5:30 or faster....we shold of held that for shits and giggles to see what your coach would say!
Looking forward to hearing all about your boston experience!
I'll trade you your pace at 100 bpm or less, for my pace at whatever my max is.
Time in an F1. ooooooooh! I'd love to do that. I don't think I could physically get into one of them.
Your legs will love it. Trust them.
It says one comment. But there are two. Now there are three.
Good luck on your hard fast run!!! I think you are going to have a wonderful experience in Boston!! I am so excited for you and will be cheering you on that day!! :) :)
