I did a run on Tuesday morning. My legs did not show me any love at all. I was supposed to do some intervals but the legs were super tired after that loooong run on Saturday and swim on Sunday and Wii Tennis, also on Sunday.
I break a sweat with Wii Tennis and I CANNOT beat my 7 year old! And I try. Real hard.
So the Tuesday run was just an hour of steady running. Why disappoint myself with some shitty intervals!? Then Wednesday swim came along. I got up. I felt dizzy. My stomach was weezy. I went back to bed! Slept for 2 more hours and then felt fine. Maybe I should have just gone to the swim...? But I am so not wanting to get sick....
I re-scheduled those intervals for today. I brought my run gear to the office to run on the free treadmill here. I am feeling like I might wait for the weather to improve as I hate running intervals on the treadmill!! But it is not set to improve until Saturday and guess we are all day Saturday...that's right, THE HOCKEY RINK!!! First game at 7:30am...wtf is THAT??!! Welcome to hockey.
And I am feeling lazy and thinking about how much they are going to hurt my legs and lungs.
Then I get an e-mail from Justin..."Glad you got the run done even though your legs were feeling bad. Every run helps your fitness and I think that working through the harder days helps make you a better athlete for sure. Keep up the good work!"
Nice.
I love the treadmill.

lol..justin is very timely ...lmao
Tell me again what you're feeling guilty about? Seems like you're doing an awesome job. Listening to your body and dialing it back when necessary is smart.
I did some intervals begrudgingly on the treadmill yesterday and it turned out to be my best workout in a looooong time! I am generally a girl who takes the weather as a personal challenge and doesn't give an inch, but i was at my mom's and i thought i would go for it on her machine. Didn't have to worry about slipping, only had to concentrate on my form and what was the next song on my ipod. just surrender Dorothy!!!!
I need to get my ass back to running. Great job getting out there! Happy 2010!
