I had a 1 hour 15 minute run on the ol schedule today. Started out feeling tired and crappy and it was spitting rain and cold and windy.
Sigh.
I almost turned back after 10 minutes.
But then, I see a police car with its lights on in the middle of the road. An accident? But there was also music blaring from that direction so obviously not an accident! I kept running towards the police car and then saw them.
1800 runners/walkers for the CIBC Run for a Cure!! Wow! The run was 5km right smack in the middle of my route. So I stopped and waved and cheered with the little group of people who were at the corner...why not...it wasn't like I was enjoying my run!! After most of them had gone by I started up again and told myself to suck it up and stop complaining and get this run in the bag. Ended up being a very good run that felt really really good.
My brother has signed up for Calgary 70.3!! Now I HAVE to do it. Or at least get my butt out to Calgary to cheer.
