I have a lazy right arm

That is what Mike the swim coach told me today. When I am tired, I swing my right arm around and do not complete my stroke under water like I should. I said "But I am tired!" He said "But that is for sure when you should be concentrating on getting it right!!" Thanks.
It was too cold for my run yesterday morning. I am getting soft. I will not run outside if it is colder than about minus 15. In my Tuesday afternoon chat with Coach Justin, he told me he got a sunburn on Sunday while out riding. Nice. My weather stalking (thanks Melissa for that awesome term!!) told me the day was only going to get warmer. So I went out after supper and did my fartlek intervals. I am getting faster at these. I am happy with that! I had a bit of a hissy fit on the phone yesterday with JP...tell me again, the BIG picture? All this training by myself with nothing to gauge my progess is getting boring!!
Then he reminded me....do you not have a 10km run this weekend? Oh YEAH!! I almost forgot! The instructions are to run that sucker as hard as possible. This will give us a good gauge of where I am at. My time goal is around 55 minutes. My secret time goal is around 53 minutes. Either? Would be my world record so maybe a realistic goal would be a bit slower than that, but I've always been a bit of an over-achiever so let's aim KELLY FAST!!!
Got to my swim today as well. Was a good one. I like all the longer stuff...we did a pyramid...100m; 200m; 300m; 400m; 500m and then back down again.

Huh. Lazy right arm, eh? I'm sure the line up is already starting with people offering to trade swim speeds, lazy arm and all.

Good luck on your weekend run! I dream of breaking an hour for 10 K. Maybe if IG keeps flogging me for a few more years.

Could always ask for a transfer to Calgary. Lots of people here need help with their money. And lots of people to train with. Oh, wait, you'd actually have to live here then.

Couple of questions I have been meaning to ask for a while:

1.) How are you so fast in the water?

2.) Can you teach your fellow *blog followers* how to become fast like you?

I don't think that lazy arm is hurting you any...

so if you are running kelly fast and there are snacks after - save a good one for me :) I have contacted a chick friend - trying to convince her to come and do a leisurely 10 k walk run with me so we could catch up on what's new...make it a social thing ya know.... i am trying to find my love of sport again. it's severely lacking.

GO KELLY FAST GO!!!! you are going to have a brilliant run this weekend, i can feel it. i'm betting on 52:49 as your time sista. You've been working hard.

Oh and yes, I think you should visit Calgary with Jen and both of you could teach us all how to swim!!

Do it when the weather is nice and we'll take you down Road to Nepal, and out 22X to the mountains.
