Got up today to go for a run. Was a horrible run. Started out and just could not make my legs go. I was tired and had hit the snooze about three times. Ran for about 35 minutes and then walked home. I don't like running anymore. I really need a training partner. The good news is that I have been doing pretty good with my meal plan. Not exactly the plan but pretty darn close. If you have the right stuff in the fridge, it is way easier. Being at the lake was a bit tougher as there were lots of temptations but I thought I did pretty good...all considering. Tommorrow I am going to the pool for a swim. I am going to make myself swim about 3000 meters. I still have that triathlon up at Waskesiu in August!!
I need some serious motivation to do that one...cause I have none right now.

listen to your bod my friend and considering doing something else for a week. hike. walk. yoga. weights. it's okay to take a phyiscal and mental break from triathlon stuff. :)
Sounds like you and me are in much the same head space. Just a little tough getting back into the training routine. I'm really liking my yoga classes.
I suspect that the crappy workouts after a rest are really important. It reminds your muscles of what you're trying to do, reminds them it isn't going to stop, and reminds your brain that there's more than just some abstract plan. Note: I'm not a coach, and I don't play one on TV.
I agree with Susi -- do something totally different for a week. Try pool running, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, anything!! When you are in a head space where you feel like you HAVE to do something -- things aren't right. Listen to your body -- it will tell you what to do! :) :) :)
go have some fun! I agree with everyone! Play with the kids go for a hike forget the tri world for a weekend and just play!
