duh

I ran my car out of gas yesterday. duh. Had to call Shaun to come rescue me and he reminded me that the "E" on my gas gauge does not mean "enough"!!! Frick. Embarrasing, as it was on a busy street and I had to PUSH it out of the way of traffic...in my suit, and nylons and high heels...all decked out for work...oh my god...can you spell i-felt-like-such-a-tool. Last week I locked my keys in the damn thing and again, Shaun had to "break in" with a coat hanger and a wedge of wood...a bit of a mis-spent youth he had and boy, he can get into a car in no time!!
Anyway, all is well now...back to triathlon stuff... I asked Justin if I should be working out with weights this time of year. He said he would put something together for me. He said one of the best things to do is push-ups as it strengthens so many muscles that one needs...to hold yourself up on the bike, properly, and swing your arms when you run. He said I would get good and strong if I followed is routine...I did not mention, the truth, really, is, I have my 20 year highschool reunion next spring...and I want to look super good as I was such a NERD in highschool!! I sat beside the football team's quarterback in computer class one year, and he asked to be moved as he said I smelt like chlorine!! THAT is a true story... ha ha!!!
AND....
Had a really good short run today. Feeling pretty good about this half marathon on Sunday. Gonna be a fun girls weekend!!

Hahahaha! I barely made it home on my empty tank this summer -- The next day, my car wouldn't start and I had to walk to the gas station to buy some fuel -- I felt like such an idiot!

That's exciting to hear about your new gym routine -- can you share? I always end up overdoing things, and have been looking for a good routine!

I think the quarterback's eyeballs will pop out of his head when he sees how the chlorine-nerd turned out! Hee-hee! What a dork -- I can just imagine, "I can't sit beside her, she smells like pool! WAH!!"

Yeah, you guessed it, I was a nerd too! LOL!!!!
